CouchPotato’s best gaming rigs!

The perfect get-up for low latency gaming!

With the launch of ViewQwest’s 10Gbps fiber broadband, there has been buzz around the actual capabilities of 10 Gbps. Many folks are definitely curious about testing out the speeds.

Of course, 10Gbps speed is not the only way to achieve low latency gaming. ViewQwest also offers other options like its 1Gbps and 2Gbps fiber broadband that are able to provide a smooth and lag-free gaming experience. Paired with a good gaming console, graphic lags will be a thing of the past during your gameplay.

Despite having an average ping of 4-6 in every game I played, I still experience the occasional freak crazy lag, because my desktop doesn’t have an epic graphic processor. My RAM also isn’t the best in the world, so I do get disconnected from a game at times. Worse, I end up a feeder because my screen would sometimes simply freeze at the most critical moment!

So YEAH, I know the pain of not having the hardware to support heavy duty gaming. So I went and dug up a few high performance rigs from AfterShock that are capable of supporting heavy duty gaming!

The AFTERSHOCK TITAN 2016 Edition is the ultimate desktop replacement gaming notebook. Equipped with a desktop z170 motherboard, a desktop processor and the new NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 980 graphics card for notebooks, the TITAN SERIES is AfterShock’s ultimate desktop replacement mobile performance system. It also comes with full suite of connectivitiy options, including unique features such as dual gigabit ethernet ports and more.

Right behind the TITAN 2016 Edition is the AFTERSHOCK W series, for those with a tighter budget. The AFTERSHOCK W delivers desktop class compute and gaming performance in a notebook form factor. Featuring the Z97 chipset normally found in desktops, the W series are true desktop replacement notebooks that support Desktop Processors and Nvidia Graphics in a mobile form with no compromise on customisation. I’ll go for the 15 inch model because 17 inches is a little too big to carry around, haha.

Of course, having a good computer is not all. Without a blazing fast internet connection to go hand in hand with your epic rigs, there is no point in getting a high end desktop/laptop. I am thankful for my ViewQwest fiber broadband regardless though. I may not be able to game as much anymore, but I can still watch my dramas without any hindrance. Hahahahaha!

Till next time guys, :)
